Celebrate New York at Gems Along the Mohawk with the Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs Charity Cruise, The Tug Urger and the Utica Zoo Mobile!

A special event is planned for Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Gems Along the Mohawk in Herkimer, NY. Join us as we “Celebrate New York” with free activities and a charity cruise with local players on our Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs 2014 team! We will also feature the oldest vessel in the New York Canal Corporation’s fleet, the Tug Urger. Step inside this incredible tug boat for a tour, and learn about the job it has on the historic Erie Canal. Our friends from the Utica Zoo Mobile will stop by with some interesting creatures to see and learn about. The Diamond Dawgs Charity Cruise will depart from Gems at 3:00 pm and travel through a lock on the Erie Canal.
All proceeds from this charity cruise are being donated to Amazing Gracie’s Gift Foundation, a local charity that provides gifts of support to families of children with cancer or a terminal illness.
Tickets for the Diamond Dawgs Charity Cruise benefiting Amazing Gracie’s Gift Foundation are $10 each, and are available at Gems Along the Mohawk, 800 Mohawk Street in Herkimer or by calling Courtney Valasek at 315-868-4553
Cruise ticket includes a free hot dog from Rocky’s Quick Grill, and a Diamond Dawg wrist band. Additional food and beverages will be available for purchase.
