Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs Score Big With Fans, Community
By Don Laible – Utica OD
Collegiate baseball in Herkimer County is a hit.
Affordable, family fun, and very entertaining, this about sums up, not only my experieince at Dawgs games at Veterans Memorial Park in Little Falls this past season, but residents from all around the Mohawk Valley are echoing the same opinion. For us fans, who pay for tickets, grab a seat, and relax watching baseball for a few hours of escape from reality, it’s an easy night out. But in getting the product out, there has to be a team behind the team, that makes it all possible. And the growing success of Owner David Dittmann’s club based in Little Falls becomes increasingly obvious, there’s a shadow, a very large one in that, between ownership and the on-field product – General Manager Travis Heiser.
This past weekend I spoke with Travis, to get a recap, of sorts, on how his fifth season associated with the organization went.
