We have now come to the end of the season. This year was a great year for “YOUR” DiamondDawgs both on and off the field.
This years attendance was again good. We had over 2000 fans at three home games and over 1000 fans at 8 games. Our average attendance per game was 1011 which was third in the league.
On the field we finished 4th in the league standings in a very strong league and made the playoffs for the first time in 2 years and lost to the the #2 ranked team in the country. We also broke the league record for most consecutive wins in a row with 12 (during that stretch we were in consideration for one of the Top 30 teams in the country) and had our pitcher throw the first no-hitter in league history.
We also we’re involved in the community. We teamed up with the Herkimer County Hunger Coalition to raise money to feed the hungry. For every strikeout made by one of the Diamond Dawgs pitchers during the season we agreed to pay the Hunger Coalition $1.00. Just for your knowledge for every dollar donated we are able to buy $8.00 in food goods.
We also participated in local parades, hosted a kickball game with local youth, and visited summer youth recreation programs to just name a few.
Thank you once more for your generous sponsorship over the last season. Your support is not something we take likely and is very much appreciated by everyone connected with the DiamondDawgs family.
We hope that our performances both on and off the field show you that your sponsorship is worth while. We hope that you will continue to be on board with us not only in 2013 but for many years to come.
Very Best Regards
