Little Falls, NY–The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs are pleased to announce the team’s 6th Annual Hall of Fame Dinner and Silent Auction will be held on Saturday, April 5th at the Knights Inn in Little Falls, NY.

Former Boston Red Sox left-handed pitcher Bill “Spaceman” Lee will be this year’s guest speaker for the dinner.  Lee enjoyed a lengthy 14-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career playing for both the Boston Red Sox and later the Montreal Expos. In his major league career, Lee won over 100 games and had over 700 strikeouts.  Lee was also named to the 1973 American League All-Star team.

Lee also made two post-season appearances, one with the Boston Red Sox as they made their way to the 1975 World Series against the famous “Big Red Machine” of the Cincinnati Reds.  Lee got the start in game two of the 1975 World Series for the Red Sox and held the Cincinnati bats to just five hits and two runs in over eight-plus innings of work. His second post-season appearance came in the National League Championship Series with the Montreal Expos in 1981.

On November 7, 2008, Lee joined the ranks of Red Sox greats when he was inducted into the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame.  He went into the Hall as the team’s record-holder for the most games pitched by a left-handed pitcher (321) and the third highest win total (94) by a Red Sox.

The Hall of Fame event will include dinner and a Chinese auction. The dinner program will feature the keynote speaker Bill Lee along with the induction of the newest members of the Mohawk Valley Baseball Hall of Fame, which will be announced soon.

The event’s doors will open on April 5th at 5:30 P.M. for cocktails and autographs with dinner and program following. Tickets cost $35 for adults and $20 for kids 12 and under. For a table of 8 people, the cost is $250. To purchase a seat or table, please email Travis@mydiamonddawgs.com or contact team owner Travis Heiser at   or call (315) 985-0692.
