The concept came about when Peter Pagliaro and Brian Mack were reminiscing about the days of yesteryear when children never left home without their dusty baseball gloves and always equipped for a game of baseball. The sounds of a baseball hitting a mitt are no longer common place in communities and more important cities across America. The two hope to revive communities with Americas past time by getting gloves in the hands of local children who may not have one. The pair has teamed up with the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (www.mydiamondawgs.com) of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League in an effort to collect the gloves.
Throughout the entire DiamondDawgs seasons fans may bring a new or gently used baseball glove or donation to a game and receive a free hot dog compliment of the DiamondDawgs. Donations collected will go towards purchasing more gloves and gloves collected will be distributed throughout the year by DiamondDawgs players and staff.
Anyone interested in donating or needing gloves to be picked up directly can contact Peter or Brian at PPagliaro01@roadrunner.com
