Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs Bat Boy Playing in Baseball World Series in San Juan, Puerto Rico

The tournament is for ages 12 and under. It is called the Pee Wee Reese AABC (American Amateur Baseball Congress) Tournament. There will be 6 teams from across the United States and 2 teams from Puerto Rico competing in the World Series tournament. Drew will be playing on the team that is representing the North Atlantic Region. The team he is playing with is the Capital District DiamondRats out of Troy, NY. The other teams representing the United States are from the North Central U.S., East Central U.S., SouthEast, U.S., South Plains U.S. and the West Region. In addition, the other 2 teams will be from Puerto Rico.

Drew played 12U travel baseball for the Adirondack Heat team this Spring and Summer. They had a wonderful season, finishing with a 31-7 record. Drew’s team played against the DiamondRats team 3 times during the regular season. Drew’s performances caught the eyes of the coaching staff of the DiamondRats, which has led to them picking up Drew to play for them in this World Series. Drew will be playing Catcher during the tournament. The DiamondRats have won over 60 games this season, played in 12 states, and have won numerous tournaments this season.
