Little Falls native Evan Davis pitches a gem and picks up a win for DiamondDawgs

Little Falls native Evan Davis (Marist) took the mound for the DiamondDawgs while Nick Albero took the helm for New Rochelle.  The DiamondDawgs kicked off the scoring early with a run in the first inning and added 2 in the 3rd, 4th and 8th. Davis held the Athletics to a sole run which was scored in the second and otherwise pitched an immaculate game. Davis pitched 8 solid innings giving up just 2 hits and a run.  Jesse Buratt (Baton Rouge C.C) came in to finish off the game in the ninth and sent the young DiamondDawg fans home happy.

The DiamondDawgs are back at it tonight at Veteran’s Memorial Park against the Albany Dutchman at 7:05 pm.  The first 200 kids in attendance will receive free ice cream!
