DiamondDawgs to Honor Veterans at Home Games

LITTLE FALLS, NY – The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs Collegiate Baseball Team and Empire Recycling Logistics Corporation of Utica are excited to partner together to honor Veterans at each of the Dawgs’ 29 home games.

The DiamondDawgs are seeking nominations for those deserving to be recognized as the “Honored Veteran of the Game”. The service member, and their family, are invited to attend the game free-of-charge and will be honored on-field prior to the game as well as throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

“The Dawgs and Empire Recycling Logistics Corporation are committed to honoring the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our nation,” said Travis Heiser, owner and general manager of the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. “Our home field is Veteran’s Memorial Park in Little Falls, it’s only fitting that we honor our service members in any way that we can.”

The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs are the Mohawk Valley’s Collegiate Baseball Team, hosting 29 home games at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Little Falls. With players from all around the United States, the DiamondDawgs are proud to have been named the 2015 PGCBL Champions and play in front of nearly 30,000 fans each season.
