Little Falls, New York – The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs are pleased to announce that right-handed pitcher Payton Coddou has signed with the club.

The 6’0 185 pound Coddou from Napoleonville, Louisiana is a sophomore at the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) majoring in marketing.  In his rookie season at ULM, Coddou totaled 15 appearances with three starts striking out 16 batters in 31.2 innings.

Prior to coming to ULM, Coddou was a four-year letter winner in baseball and two year letter winner in football at Edward Douglas White High School in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Payton was a member of a District Championship team as well as a State Runner-up squad in 2013.  In his senior season, Coddou posted an 11-2 record and 1.89 ERA earning All-District, All-Region and All-State honors.

The ULM Warhawks expect a strong spring from Coddou which the DiamondDawgs are confident will continue in summer ball. “Payton  had a nice freshman season and he is expected to have a solid spring as well, we are excited to see him take the mound this summer as he will complement our pitching staff well” said team owner Travis Heiser.

The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs welcome Payton Coddou to the Dawgs family!
