Michael is from the Lone Star State of Texas and is entering is junior year at Dartmouth College.
SOPHOMORE (2015)
Had a breakout sophomore season where he started 42 games playing primarily at first base and finished with an amazing .989 fielding percentage. He also led the team in home runs.
FRESHMAN (2014)
Tied for third in the Ivy League with three triples despite just 46 at-bats … started at three different positions (first base, third base, left field) as well as DH … singled in first collegiate at-bat while pinch hitting against No. 30 FIU on March 2 and came around to score … also hit safely as a pinch hitter at 27th-ranked TCU to start career 2-for-2 … started all three games in the series agaisnt Nebraska Omaha, going 4-for-13 with two triples and three runs … tripled and scored at No. 18 Kansas to contribute to the 3-2, 10-inning victory … reached base four times in the second game of a doubleheader at Cornell with two singles and two walks, plus stole a base and drove in a run to help the Big Green prevail in 11 innings, 5-4 … collected a season-high three hits with a double, two runs and an RBI in a 16-8 win over St. Anselm.
HIGH SCHOOL
Earned two letters in baseball for legendary high school coach Jay Higgins, then two more for Corey Tucker at Lake Highlands … finished career as the school’s all-time leader with 174 hits … North Texas All-Area First Team third baseman and District 9-5A MVP as a senior … helped squad to bi-district championship in junior campaign while being named second-team all-state and District 9-5A Offensive Player of the Year … all-city infielder as a sophomore … all-city Freshman of the Year and all-district Most Outstanding Newcomer … also earned three letters in football and two more in basketball … second-team all-district and second-team Academic All-State in hoops as a senior … National Honor Society.
