DiamondDawgs and State Farm Agent Scott Grates Team Up To Strike Out Hunger

The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League is teaming up with Local State Farm Agent Scott Grates in “K’s for a Cause” to benefit the Herkimer County Hunger Coalition.

During each home contest, fans will have more reasons to cheer on their hometown DiamondDawgs. The DiamondDawgs, along with Local State Farm Agent Scott Grates will each donate $1.00 for every batter a DiamondDawgs hurler strikes out to the Herkimer County Hunger Coalition.

“We’re very pleased to get on board with the DiamondDawgs to help support the Herkimer County Hunger Coalition. Our goal is to not only donate money to assist those in need, but to also to help raise awareness regarding hunger in our community” said State Farm Agent, Scott Grates. DiamondDawgs owner Travis Heiser added, “The people of the Mohawk Valley are the best fans, and with their support of our pitching staff, we hope to raise hundreds of dollars to help eliminate hunger among our neighbors.”

The DiamondDawgs home opener is Thursday, June 5, 2013.  The first 250 fans in attendance will receive a FREE MAGNET schedule courtesy of the Little Falls Hospital.
