Stanton a perennial favorite for the DiamondDawgs:
Off the field, Stanton has continued to support the community and do his part to provide outreach to the many kids who attend games at the “Dawg Pound.” His #23 can be seen talking to kids throughout the course of the games he isn’t taking the mound for the game, willingly signing autographs and posing for pictures. Stanton will often volunteer to sell raffle tickets for the Dawgs on his off days, something that has not gone unnoticed around the Dawgs’ front office. In June, he traveled to Canajoharie to visit with the elementary students while he participated in the ReadAloud Program, designed to encourage kids to read throughout the summer months. His enthusiasm was paramount to the success of the program, and Stanton received some very high praise from the many teachers he interacted with.
