Sam Machonis earns Second-Team honors in the outfield after recording a .340 batting average in 44 games and 43 starts. On the season, Machonis, who is a transfer from Polk State College, recorded 64 hits, scored 53 runs, led the SSC and was fourth nationally in triples with seven and also had seven doubles, six home runs and drove home 31 runs. In addition, he was 5-for-7 on stolen bases and drew 17 walks in 188 at bats. He recorded 19 multi-hit games and six multiple RBI games and recorded a team season high of six runs scored, six hits, 7 RBI, two triples and 13 total bases against Warner earlier this season. Machonis also finished the 2015 campaign with a .548 slugging percentage and had a .410 on-base percentage.
