A graduate of Xaverian High School, Evans played for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League last summer and batted .256 with 17 runs batted in, 19 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 43 starts in the outfield. He also struck out seven batters in 3 1/3 innings in four relief appearances on the mound.
Evans will be playing for the DiamondDawgs again for the 2012 season
