Simone batted .538 in a 3-3 week for Cortland during a Florida stretch that included three games vs. nationally ranked teams. He was 3-for-5 with three steals in a 6-5 win over then 20th-ranked Wheaton (Mass.) and went 3-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored in a 17-9 win over 21st-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Simone leads the 9-5 Red Dragons this spring with a .481 batting average and 10 stolen bases and is second on the team with 15 runs batted in. Cortland is ranked 24th in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association/D3baseball.com national poll.
