Dawgs Sign All-Conference Outfielder from Marist

Little Falls, New York – The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs are proud to announce the signing of outfielder Matt Pagano. Pagano from Cranston, Rhode Island is a junior on the Marist Red Foxes Baseball team and attended Cranston West High School and Bridgton Academy.

Pagano, a multi-sport athlete played four years of high school baseball and hockey and one year of prep school baseball and hockey. In 2011, Pagano was a member of the Rhode Island State baseball championship team and was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the state finals and was an All-State baseball selection. He was also a member of the Rhode Island State Champion hockey team in 2009.

In 2013 with the Red Foxes he was named Second Team All-MAAC and MAAC Rookie of the Week twice.

Pagano played in 50 games batting .337 with 40 runs scored, one home run and 26 RBIs. Pagano had an on-base percentage of .428 while slugging .453 with five stolen bases, 17 multi-hit games and led the MAAC with five triples.

Last year, in 47 games Pagano hit .276 with 26 RBIs and 17 runs scored and was second on the team in RBIs and led the team with three triples and had five doubles. Pagano also led the team with nine multi-RBI games and had 10 multi-hit games and was a sly 5-for-6 in stolen-base attempts.
