Dawgs Score 14 Runs to Beat Blazers

Adirondack Trail Blazers falls to Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs.

Troy Scocca went 5-5 at the plate to carry the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (10-11) to a 14-5 win over the Adirondack Trail Blazers (9-14) at Robert Smith Sports Complex .

Six of the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs’ runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Scocca. He homered in the second inning, singled in the fourth, fifth, and seventh innings, and tripled in the ninth inning.

The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs blew out the Adirondack Trail Blazers thanks to 15 hits, including zero extra base hits. An RBI single by Malcolm Kelsey and a three-run triple by Scocca helped the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs score four runs in the ninth. The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs had three hits in the inning.

Ryan OConnor put together a nice outing. OConnor held the Adirondack Trail Blazers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two.

Ryan Dorow racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Adirondack Trail Blazers.

Payton Coddou recorded his second win for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs even though he allowed five runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered six hits.
